Italy on FRIDAY!

Friday, we finished up our visit to Italy!  We began the day with a surprise visitor, Kaitlyn's Uncle Mark Huelse.  He had just gotten back from a trip to Italy and shared with us many amazing and beautiful photos!  They were awesome and really added SO much to our experience here.  Thank you, Uncle Mark! A special thank you too, to the Gray family for sharing some of their souvenirs from Italy with us this week!  Afterwards, we learned all about Leonardo da Vinci, and studied his most famous works, the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper.  He was a genius and we were amazed at all of the wonderful things he has done.  We then pretended we were famous "Leonardos" and created our own versions of the Mona Lisa and Last Supper!  (See below.) We also learned about the Roman Numeral system and created books using this.  Afterwards, we danced to the "Italian Tarantella," and had so much fun!  :)  We then had our "festino!"  We enjoyed spaghetti, bread, strawberries, grapes, Italian Ice, and ice cream before we headed on our plane to home!
